How to start a new facebook profile with the same email address?

-i had deactivated my profile because i wanted to start over. however, when i try to sign up with the email address i used before it wont let me. the only thing it will do is turn my old profile back on, which i don't want. i also don't want to create a new email address to start over again. one more thing is there a time limit that you have to wait till you can use your old email to sign up?Login to your old account and change the email to a different one.
