Is it illegal to listen to music on youtube?

-My computer isn't modern enough to be able to run Itunes (yes, it is entirely pathetic lol), or else I would buy music. Having said that, I tend to just find music on youtube and listen to it that way. It never occurred to me till today that it's likely to be illegal...is it?Some of the stuff on youtube is infringing copyright laws. There are a lot of tv and music clips and videos that have been illegally recorded and uploaded. However just watching music videos isn't really considered illegal. You'll even find a lot of artists have official pages on youtube where they put their own videos voluntarily. So don't worry about, you're not gonna get in trouble for playing a few songs on youtube.
No, If you look who uploaded it and they aren't violating anything. But I suppose its illegal for someone to copyright the music and put it up without saying who the artist is. But up-loaders like Vevo are aloud to with permission from the artist. Katy Perrys T.G.I.F is put up by them along with many other artist.

Its not illegal to listen. Someone may have posted music or a music video without permission from the copyright owner, but watching it has nothing to do with it.
